This page lists the neighbors and local businesses and food banks that we worked with while running the Free Food Pantry and The Street Store. They donated food, coffee, clothing, socks, bread and volunteer labor to our mutual aid projects. We covered the cost of materials and printing ourselves.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Thank you to all of the neighbors in Berkeley who took the time to drop food off to share with people who needed it.
You shared food from your fruit trees and gardens and helped us to keep it stocked over the years. Your generosity had a ripple effect.
Thank you to our neighbors across the street: Stephanie and Aaron. You were both very gracious in allowing the project to go on as long as it did. We did ask you before installing it but we didn't really know how it was going to unfold. You know that it served hundreds of people every year so it was worth it.
A huge thank you to Colleen Fain. Your generosity helped us establish trust with everyone at the beginning. You ordered tons of food and bought literally thousands of bags for the bread we packaged up every Wednesday.
Thank you to Kai on Rose Street for your commitment to this project. Thank you for all the times that you took care of bread day when we went away on holiday. Thank you for SHOWING UP! Thank you to Manlio and Carlo for helping Kai! It really turned into a community effort.
Henry: I loved working on this with you. There was a lot of pickups in the truck and a lot of food that we stored in our laundry room and home. The boxes, the work, the dealing with food waste, all of it was worth it. It's a labor of love and if you got this far, know that if you want to run your own pantry, this is a great way to be in service. Feeding people is one of the most hands on, effective ways you can help make a difference and create connection and real community on your street.
